Kino's Storytime

Kino's Storytime, also known as Storytime, is a children's reading television series aired on PBS from October 11, 1992 to September 1, 1997. The series was produced by KCET in Los Angeles, California. Kino's Storytime was available on VHS from Strand Home Video and Video Treasures. The show was co-hosted by Anne Betancourt as Lucy, Marabina Jaimes as Mara, and Kino, voiced and performed by puppeteer Mark Ritts.

Celebrity guest stars would sometimes visit the series and read stories, including John Goodman, Tom Selleck, John Ritter, Ellen DeGeneres, Meshach Taylor, Tim Allen, Little Richard, Annie Potts, Wilford Brimley, Dave Coulier, Hector Elizondo, René Auberjonois, Alfre Woodard, Gordon Jump, Kathy Najimy, Michael Dorn, Raven-Symone, Jamie Farr, Bill Cobbs, Edward James Olmos, Cloris Leachman, Shari Lewis, Paul Winfield, Gedde Watanabe, Steve Guttenberg, Paula Poundstone, Mayim Bialik, Robert Guillaume, Jamie Walters, Marion Ross, Kirk Douglas, Teri Garr, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Hill, Joanna Cassidy, Ruben Blades, Brett Butler, Angela Bassett, Melissa Joan Hart, Martin Mull, Laura Dern, Joey Lawrence, Elijah Wood, John Astin, Jane Seymour, Victoria Rowell, Tia and Tamera Mowry, James Avery, Janeane Garofalo, Michael Horse, Patrick Swayze, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Geena Davis, Jason Alexander, David Hyde Pierce, Michael Jeter, Salma Hayek, Ed Asner, Gabriel Byrne and Tina Majorino.
